The School of Materials Science and Engineering at Yanshan University has three departments (Metal Materials Department, Inorganic Materials Department, and Materials Physics Department) and a laboratory under its management; The college has one postdoctoral mobile station, one doctoral program, two master's programs, one provincial key laboratory, and one provincial key discipline. There are a total of 72 faculty members, including 11 doctoral supervisors, 7 experts receiving special government allowances from the State Council, 25 professors, 17 associate professors, 10 senior engineers, and 19 individuals with experience studying and working abroad; 25 people have a doctoral degree. The college has established friendly relations with the Faculty of Engineering at Hiroshima University in Japan and the National Laboratory of Denmark, and has carried out activities to jointly train doctoral students and exchange visiting scholars.
